Children's Book Project
DUE: January 21, 2019 (by midnight)
This project is the culminating project for semester 1 in Physics. It is to be a story about what you have learned this quarter. The story should include:
Use the vocabulary that you know and/or you can look words up in the dictionary. A word to the wise: Be careful to use new words correctly. You will lose credit if you use words incorrectly. Be mindful that this is a children’s book and do not put anything inappropriate in the story nor in the pictures.
You must include in your book:
10 separate pages of the story with pictures illustrating what is written on that page.

- how to graph and what is needed for a good graph.
- how to determine the difference between and independent, dependent variable and a control in an experiment, and the scientific method.
- P-T graphs and concepts, Velocity concepts, Acceleration concepts and Force concepts.
Use the vocabulary that you know and/or you can look words up in the dictionary. A word to the wise: Be careful to use new words correctly. You will lose credit if you use words incorrectly. Be mindful that this is a children’s book and do not put anything inappropriate in the story nor in the pictures.
You must include in your book:
10 separate pages of the story with pictures illustrating what is written on that page.
- You should have 3-4 sentences per page that describe your science concepts. Be careful to use a variety of sentences. One page should flow into the next.
- You must have a cover page that is neat and gives a clue to what your story is about. Use bold lettering to make it look like a real children’s book.
- Use a variety of vocabulary. The more correctly used vocabulary the better. You must use at the following key terms: velocity, time, distance, vector, scalar, displacement, etc. Please include an answer page and glossary. Remember the Three Little Pigs example.
